BauerTurf provides a wide variety of services related to turf and turfgrass science. Typically, our clients are in one of the following industries: Golf, Sports Turf, Sod Production, Golf & Landscape Architects, Municipalities & Parks, and Construction Companies, but we are available to accommodate most non-residential turfgrass needs.

  • Available at a daily rate or for longer term contracts, this can include:

    • Site visits with after-visit report and recommendations

    • Turf management programs for new or existing turfgrass

    • Sod supplier evaluation

    • Sod sourcing from our own sod farm, North Central Sod, or one of our sod contacts across the Midwest

    • Seed and fertilizer recommendations and sourcing

    • Seminars and presentations for audiences ranging from private sales meetings to large trade shows. Sam has given over 300 over 300 presentations and trainings to audiences around the world, ranging from golf course superintendents to homeowners.

    • Online turfgrass science education with golf focus or lawn, sports, parks and grounds focus through Great Lakes School of Turfgrass Science.

  • We’ve successfully placed a number of positions within the golf industry. We offer a one-year guarantee and are happy to work with golf courses around the world.

  • With Sam’s background in academic research, he’s completed numerous unbiased and academically sound contract research trials. These can be completed in a contracted greenhouse during cold weather months, or on-site in our test field during the summer.

    • Technical articles for industry publications.

    • Expert witness for legal cases related to turfgrass - Sam has testified in cases ranging from vandalism to application errors across the US.

  • Custom commercial pesticide applications.

    As a licensed pesticide applicator in the state of Minnesota, we can legally complete custom pesticide applications in the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.

  • Turfgrass seed, fertilizer and supply sales through our partner, Ramy Turf Products.

    Sod sales and delivery from our BauerTurf LLC owned sod farm, North Central Sod.
